Affected area

The Project involves the development of a run-of-river power plant about 10.3 km from the mouth of the Inukjuak River. At this point, the river is composed of four natural waterfalls, with a total height of 14.3 m spread over 2.7 km. The Project’s temporary and permanent infrastructure will be developed on Category I lands in the Northern Village of Inukjuak.

Description

Condition 13:
Prior to the end of construction of the hydroelectric power plant, the proponent shall submit for authorization the fish habitat and wetland loss compensation plans. The proponent shall include any consultation undertaken as well as any feedback received. For fish habitat and wetland loss compensation, the request for authorization shall specify any required work related to the project, including construction of access roads and/or infrastructure. Compensation plans shall also include monitoring of the planned measures. Compensation plans shall be implemented no later than two (2) years after the electric power plant has entered service.
