Decision
The Commission has decided not to subject the project to the environmental and social impact assessment procedure.
Description
The project involves the relocation and an increase in the storage capacity of petroleum products of community’s fuel tank farm. The three tanks used at the current farm will be emptied, cleaned, dismantled and rebuilt at the new one. A new vertical tank with a capacity of 1.59 million liters will be constructed. A horizontal tank 50,000 liters will also be constructed.
The area of the new retention pond will be 3,369 square meters and it will be fenced.
All associated facilities of the tank farm, the pumping station, the building housing the electrical room and an office, the loading dock, as well as accessories will be replaced. All metal waste from the decommissioning of the existing deposit will be sent south by boat. During construction, the distribution of petroleum products will be ensured by temporary tanks.
Calendar
Work will be conducted in the summer of 2015.
